Jamie Bowen Santolucito, RN, CRNI 

Each year a Review Panel, consisting of a representative from each AVA committee, reviews the submitted nominations and, using a numerical scale selects the winner of the award using the following criteria:

5. Contribution to the development of vascular access


Jamie Bowen Santolucito has over 30 years experience in vascular access and infusion therapy.  Her professional experience consists of critical care, home care and hospice settings, as well as inpatient and outpatient vascular access and infusion therapy.  Jamie has developed and presented basic and advanced PICC education programs to thousands of clinicians internationally, since 1989.  Additionally, she has lectured extensively on the topics of vascular access and infusion therapy.  She is the author of several publications and was a member of the editorial review board for the 2006 Infusion Nursing Standards of Practice.

Currently, Jamie resides in the Portland, Oregonarea where she is employed as a staff PICC nurse at OregonHealth and SciencesUniversityHospital.  Jamie also provides consulting services as a clinical nurse educator for Bard Access Systems.
