Ramzy Nasrallah

RAMZY NASRALLAH

Ramzy joined AVA in 2017 as Chief Executive Officer after 14 years at Johnson & Johnson in both its pharmaceutical and medical device businesses. He has extensive experience and understanding of the critical issues and opportunities surrounding vascular access and healthcare delivery in America and abroad. Ramzy leads the mission and strategic plan for both AVA as well as the AVA Foundation.

 

Tonya Hutchison

TONYA HUTCHISON

Tonya has been with AVA since 1998.  She is a constant support to the Board of Directors as she manages the day to day operations of the association and works closely with AVA’s high-performing cross-functional team to create operational processes and frameworks that support the accelerated growth of AVA.


 

Eric Seger

DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS / JAVA EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

ERIC SEGER

Joining the team in 2017, Eric is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the Association for Vascular Access and Director of Communications for AVA. He oversees content for JAVA and IQ, recruits researchers and reviews their submissions for publication and also manages the AVA social media strategy. Eric received his BS in Journalism from Ohio State University. An editor by trade, he brings experience in online and newspaper publishing, copy editing and writing.

Katie Tornow

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

KATIE TORNOW

Katie joined AVA in early 2018 as the Director of Finance. She brings 10 years of non-profit accounting and management experience from an association and member focus lens. Katie handles many aspects of AVA’s finances such as budget preparation, forecasting, audit management, financial and cost analysis and many other areas in order to support the mission and strategic direction of AVA.

Judy Thompson

DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL EDUCATION

JUDY THOMPSON, MSNED, RN, VA-BC™

Judy joined AVA in early 2018 as the Director of Clinical Education. Judy’s professional experience includes work as a registered nurse in oncology, telemetry, emergency, outpatient surgery, telemedicine nursing, and vascular access. In 2012, she earned her MSN with an emphasis on nursing education from Grand Canyon University. She is one of the founding members and president of the San Diego Vascular Access Network (SANVAN). Judy has been involved at many levels within AVA. She served three years as a member and chair-elect for AVA’s conference development team (Dteam), two years as a Director at Large on the AVA Board of Directors, and the past two years as president-elect and president.
   
 

Beth Gore

 

PROJECT AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

BETH GORE

Beth is a National Patient Advocate with a background in Training, Communications and Business. Her prime role is to assist the Director of Clinical Education  with educational projects and various clinical initiatives for AVA.

She is a sought after Keynote speaker throughout the healthcare continuum. Beth came to AVA initially because of her youngest son, Manny, who lives with a central line. Her personal mission statement is, "Speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves."


 

 Jennifer Livsey

JENNIFER LIVSEY

Jennifer joined the AVA team in 2014.  Her role is to provide support, development and guidance in areas of member services and network relationships. Feel free to contact her if you are interested in joining AVA, purchasing a product, or want more information about member benefits.  

Jennifer received her BS degrees in Sociology and Public Relations from Utah State University.  She brings experience in journalism, copy editing, desktop publishing, and customer service.
